Obviously the elf needed more practice on his spell she arrived where she was somewhat dazed her wolf for company but she could not see.... she might have thought herself blind had not the weight of darkness weighed heavily upon her chest making her feel discomfort... she fumbled in the dark grabbing a piece of broken stone and cast light on it making it glow radiantly in her hand much like her own skin she held the stone close and looked around quickly realising this is not where she remotely wanted to be.... after all a surface elf appearing from no where might be seen as gift of favor from their evil spider deity.

She could not hope to outrun them though not in their own city witch she knew nothing about and not with the darkness oppressing her and her powers. "I think i will have strong words for that elf when i see him again.. if Luna wills that as my fate..." she whispered to Luchain staying close to him as he growled his sight only slightly better then hers in the dark but his sense of smell helping him greatly... besides he could sense the she elf's unease and rising panic. She had been in the drow city once... beside Cirdan as his beloved then.. what bargaining chip did she hold now.... none that she thought would do her much good amongst opportunist and murderers.... still she had her staff in hand ready to defend herself though knowing she was already defeated

* He was walking around rather nonchalantly he had two Drow with him...One younger page that was here more as a guide through this blasted city, and another as a torch barer so he could see in the blasted gloom of this den of inequity.. He was not truthfully looking for a new slave... He was here for the other wares one could find here... This place had a good assortment of other things that could be used as guardians as well… Wolves tame or not... Bears and other things... But he couldn’t help but check through the fresh meat that arrived this mourning

He had heard that there should be some newer slaves around the next corner but he made sure to inspect several of the older ones to make sure he had looked over the majority of the stock that was available... As he rounded the next corner he saw a very broken older man. Years of abuse and hard labor had made him crooked and bent, not any good to an elf ... He would need something faster... He saw a young buxom girl who eyed him sweetly... With a look of lust... She seemed to be a well trained bed mate... Not something Lyo was interested in either... If a bed mate was wanted he wanted something less used then that….

A chill in the air spread quickly causing both escorts to cover up more in their cloaks... Few would come here at this hour but Lyo was not afraid of ending up part of the sale... His lackeys were not so sure of their safety... but that was because being seen with a surface elf at this hour was not wise...

Lyo was in a simple cloth sir coat of fine linen the came to his calves and wearing a pair of just over-the-knee boots... He still of course, wore his greaves and under his sleeveless coat his puffy red silk shirt cascaded out. It was held tight to his forearms by his mythril bracers that seemed to be one piece around with no seem… On his back he wore twin swords both with an "S" curve in the blade and both handles were well wrapped in black velvet with rings around the handles... Rings that looked like they would belong on fingers that just weren’t... He moved ahead...

A flash of light caught him be surprise and blinded his assistants for a few seconds He moved through the gloom and had then put out the light... he took a hit from a small flask at his side and blinked his true sight into working .. The gloom was not so bad now .but the flavor was not worth it... he saw a female form in the shadows that was making a rock glow...thank fully it only made him cringe for a second... He moved silently closer after signaling in Drow sign for his guards to wait there

As he closed to distance he saw her dire wolf companion... he sent it a simple thought of a cat nearby bounding down the alley to distract it... Hopefully making it follow the illusion... if it did He would move closer down the alley way toward the female... when he got closer he recognized the glowing...it must be her… he smirked and using an illusion he made his vioce seem to come from every where around her but slightly masked by its own echoes*

“Well, well, well what do we have here … A surfacer ... In an alley-way alone... Might have to do something about that... I can help you for a fee..Or should I just alert the guards to get you... After all you are inside the slave arena... Have you escaped from here little one?”

The wolf of course went for the cat after all for his kind he was still a pup.. his brethren legends among beasts when they grew old for the northern dire wolf was massive... said to have the strength and power to pull a carriage that it took four horses to pull and yet he was only the size of a pony but it enabled Sharla to ride him just fine being as short as she was. "Luchain" she hissed at him through clenched teeth watching his silver fur fade quickly into the gloom.. She was alone now or so she thought... hearing the voice she circled around keeping low ready to drop into a tumble if she heard anything that sounded like a bolt being fired or anything like that.

She was at a disadvantage though normal elves could see 60 feet it the dark yet because she was unique she could barely see past 25 all else beyond that was pitch black to her eyes she was afraid as much as she hated to admit it she was afraid... fearing that no one would come to her aid this time simply because no one knew but even afraid she did not let it show even though she desired much to weep then and there she didn't. All her reading had told her only the strong survived her to survive she would have to strive not to show weaknesses such as tears and emotion.

She tensed knowing her coin purses were lost at the incident at the bridge knowing she could not pay for any such kindness with money "I have done no such thing" she said trying to keep her voice down as so not to attract more attention but trying to look relaxed she put her hand on her hip and looked into the gloom still not seeing anyone "tell me how is it a drow comes to speak common witch is spoken only on the surface... i hear you do not take the time to learn such things..."

*He remembered her inability to see far in the dark there was a lot he still knew of her... Though he didn’t ever think to find her again, and it was fitting for it to be in the Underdark… He moved a bit closer and she spun around and was looking the wrong way… Figures, she was always a bit backwards… Like most priestess’s in his mind... He smiled a bit and moved closer. Just out of her vision where she shouldn’t even get a silhouette yet, about thirty feet from her… *

“You’re looking the wrong way hunny... Try facing me”

*His voice no longer masked at all... He was indeed behind her... He didn’t think she would remember his voice it had been a long while after all… He moved after a few seconds to be closer. And paused about twenty feet away, he didn’t think she would recognize him dressed like this.. It was a very foreign style both where they last saw each other, and here in the Underdark… It was to seafaring of attire to catch on here… He moved a bit closer, his hands clearly visible as he did so*

“ What are you doing down here little dove… Is this not a long way away from the light you need so much …… Don’t worry the little doggy will return soon enough he is chasing cats ….”

*He moved even closer still because he had not paused in walking towards her …. He smiled coyly... This was going better then it could have... Though that might be because he was out of striking range*

“Come on I will take you back to my suite and from there we can head back to the surface ...Though it means you will be stuck with me for several days... About five I think... That is if your dog can walk a lot... If not might be six or seven.. I promise not to try anything this go round hunny. I was not completely me in our last meeting.. My beast like it’s down here so he wakes while I tarry in the under dark but if we leave he will sleep again”

She whipped around to face him and looked at him not able to see him just yet tensing and taking half a step back ready to run but then she realised she had no idea witch way to run..

She nodded looking at him as he became visible tension but nodding glad to know where her pup was

As he talked she slowly lowered her staff and looked at him "any help you can give me i would be most grateful for but my purses fell off my belt so i have no way of paying you.. and lastly i did not come here on a passing fancy Cirdans bastard son sent me here while trying to transport us out of that collapsing cavern i can honestly say i hope he lands in a frigid lake somewhere" she said in a huff looking at him holding the stone close knowing she was outmatched knowing if he did not help her no one else would.. in truth she was at his mercy as much as she hated to admit it

*He laughed heartily at mention of what must have been a messed up spell cast by Lazuli... kid never did get the hard ones right he moved closer to her still only a few feet away.. Well with in striking distance of her staff if she chooses to hit him... he hoped she wouldnt .but he might deserve it if she did..... He was lit dimly be her glowing stone and the tattoo on his check was becoming very clear to see when he looked at her... if she were to remember him that might be what caused her to do it ... he made a quick mental feel for her wolf ..It was running in circles just up the alley chasing the cat still... silly puppy*

“My dear lady of light a man in my position does not need coin... I am sure we can work out a payment either while en-route or once i return you to the surface... but i believe that being that currently i may owe you a little bit we will have to sort this all out later .... Follow me to me inn suite so we can discuss things more privately?"

*he was still smiling at the remark she made about her former lovers child ... one would think she would be nicer to a young mage .she always showed near infinite patience with so many others ..Of course none of them would leave her alone with Lyo... wonder why? He offered her his hand... his skin was tanned but very clearly nor the deep ebony of the Drow ... no he was a surface wood elf through and through...true he might not be a normal sylvan elf .but that was up for debate later ... he signed in Drow behind his back for his servants to leave him for the night and was fairly certain that they listened.. But then again .it was hard to tell when a Drow actually left if they were hidden to begin with....

His eve made that dopy dog of hers head back this way with an illusion of the cat headed towards the pair them simply vanishing …. A few feet from Sharla... now that her pet had returned He assumed she might get a bit more brave...though he was not sure how to explain to the innkeeper that, that monster was house broken …. He would deal with that latter for now to take the glowing target somewhere less visible and maybe see about what all could be done in return once he saved her from this dark place?

She paused and took his hand wanting so much to believe him and what he said knowing she had little choice better him then be sold as a slave down here. Chances were if she were sold as a slave to a drow with her very real need for light it would not take long before she died by her guess so for now it seemed a wise choice to stay with him

She relaxed visibly so when her wolf returned not even fussing as his gargantuan tongue licked her soaking her dress a bit "who's a good boy..... did you catch any mean evil cats" she said with a small laugh but wincing at the thunderous bark of a reply that had her holding her ears but she recovered after a moment scolding the wolf witch was an amusing sight given that the wolf could have crushed her chest under one of his paws she fallowed him then to the inn one hand in his so she didn't get lost and the other holding the stone her wolf taking up the rear sulking a bit from being scolded but otherwise fine

He lead her through the alleyway towards the best tavern in town... Of course depending on who was there, and your morality level it was also the worst tavern in town... When the door opened the smell of stale beer and bad whiskey was the first thing to hit you, then the noise... There were about ninety people in here, of course it was only designed to hold closer to seventy in this room... But that added ambiance right? The bar staff was working furiously to provide what was being asked for and always seeming to be behind …..

There were several people in here eating things that one never wanted to know what they were... There were also several creatures here sitting at tables that you never wanted to know what they ate... One looked to be eating something’s arm, another some ones foot….. He did his best to not look at anyone or thing other then to avoid getting in knife range... Or making sure he didnt step on any toes ….

It took nearly twenty minutes to get to the innkeeper and get his keys …. He then ordered several things in Drow that Sharla could only guess at their identity … After a few minutes negotiating he handed over some nondescript coins and headed for his room…. It was another maze of people in the next wing before they got the steps. . This mazes a little bit more polite... But not any better organized ….

Eventually after being stared at an seemingly offending no one, but in a Drow city that meant nothing... After climbing up four floors of stairs and passing more strange beings then one thought could sleep in the same tavern, they arrived at a grand sweet occupying a corner area and turret….

This was his room... He opened the door gently and motioned for her to enter first... Once she did he followed after her hound and barred and locked the door…. He took off his sir coat and hung it on a peg near the door then removed his swords… It wasn’t like he would need them… He whispered a word that seemed to guttural for Drow lips and candelabras around the room lit up... The room was quite spectacular... And seemed fit for a king...

All the trimmings were of fine spider silk or velvet. The furniture covered in unidentifiable leathers that were equally soft as the silks.... A den off to one side held all the things to hold a small business meeting and the living room area was fit to hold ten maybe fifteen comfortable…. With a whoooosh the fireplace lit up. The roaring flames were illusionary but provided heat and light none the less. Off to the sides of the room was another stairwell leading up the turret and a door way leading to the Antechamber before the Master Bedroom and all that was entailed in that, but that was for later and still blocked from view….

“Don’t worry love. We can be safe here as long as I pay the Innkeeper... Though I can not vouch for your safety in this city outside this room... Then again I can’t even vouch for my own …..The caravans should be leaving the day after tomorrow... I assume that Lazuli lost your things while sending you deeper in this tomb? Or did you go out adventuring with naught but your puppy and walking stick again? And don’t worry about the coin as I said, I have more then enough… You should just be happy this particular back stabbing thief is the one that found you … “
