Near a cliff side, teeming with life and wilderness, once rested a city. But now it had more than faded. Its high parapets fallen into the ocean below the cliff it rested so near. It was fallen and destroyed, ripe with loot. Many an adventurer had wandered this place to seek fame and gold. It was a place locals talked in hush voices about, and parents told children not to go. Yet inside many mysterious lay in wait. Though for out purposes only one might lay important enough to be found. As if fate waited for a perfect moment to unveil it. Waited for the perfect moment to give this gift to anyone that was deemed in need enough. Anyone that was in a dire place, and in a dark moment of their life.

Deep in a ruined room, inside a ruined castle it waited. Dust cling to everything like a thin veil, but that room was pristine other wise. No cobwebs, no pests. Not even insects or creatures. Time seemed to have forgotten this location. Most of the ruins had fallen completely, save this one room, now tucked into what looked more like rocks and rubble than the castle it was once. Vines and moss and grasses and trees having taken it all over now, all of it but one place. One dark twisted lifeless place.

The floor was mostly clean a few rocks and parts of the roof had come down. But for better or worse it was still aloft. Outside of this one cavern looking room the world teemed with life, but inside of it there was none, a true deathly silence in the room with its sole occupant. Before what remained of a great chair knelt a massive stone-like knight. Not moving, not breathing. Not rusting not deteriorating in any manner. But devoid of life, and statuesquely waiting for the approval of a king that was not before them. Was it a statue? Was it a person? Did it matter? Clearly had not moved in countless ages.

It bore the infinitely delicate clothe around it that was once a cloak, that now even a harsh breeze might destabilize and destroy. About its body, weapons on its back, and one on its hip. Both swords. Dusty, dirty, but keen. Sharp in their rotted leather prisons. But for all its statue like properties, the thing in the middle of the room sat in a perplexing position. Its left hand tucked in slightly shield still strapped in place, holding the sword hilt of the blade at its hip as it knelt. Its head lowered in submission. But its right hand clearly once held something that was being offered to the empty throne before it. It awaited approval, it awaited permission. It simply waited.

Nearer a doorway arch that lead deeper into the unstable ruin were three littered bodies. Or more importantly their white bleached bones. Time had not forgotten them as eagerly as it had the statue. They sat desiccated, and barren. White bones inside of rusted armor, and holding rust-pitted, useless weapons. If one would inspect the room it oddly looked like two of them had died rushing into this room, and one had died rushing out. But what it meant, what had truly happened was mere speculation now.

It didn’t seem to matter outside if it was sunny, or cloudy, Raining or snowing, or beautiful and warm. This room was cold, barren lifeless, and acted as if the outside world didn’t apply here. No sound echoed, no matter what caused it. No light shone, but there was an eerily glow that illuminated everything. Perchance it was because time had forgotten to with draw light as it left, or maybe, just maybe it had left this one small room as a testament to what once lived and breathed and happened here. As a warning to life that continued in its cycle what might await it. What was once, and could be again if lessons from the past were not learned as completely by future generations.

Her heart races as she darts around the trees her breaths so quick her surroundings seem to spin. Tallya leans against a tree struggling to catch her breath, her body jumping as she hears branches cracking under the footsteps approaching. Her eyes widen as she hides herself behind it her flesh stinging as she scrapes against the bark. She peeks out quickly before hiding herself once more her hand quickly coming up to cover her mouth as her eyes shut tight trying to force back the tears.
“Please gods, let them pass.” Is the only thought that repeats over and over again in her mind. Her body shaking as she smells their stink surrounding her, she can hear their struggled heaving breaths from the chase. Tallya moves forward quickly as an arm seems to burst through a patch of dried leaves, grabbing hold of her hair as Lulu pops her head out from her pack growling and hissing as she attempts to claw at the creature that growls in return. His mangled pale flesh seeming to glow in the moonlight thick streams of drool dripping from his long pointy chin.

He howls in pain as Lulu sinks her claws into his forearm making it possible for Tallya to break free wrapping both of her arms around the little cub as she runs reaching somewhat of a clearing. Over grown plants hiding the rubble that scatters the ground making her stumble, even falling a few times catching herself on her now bloodied hands.Tallya pauses for what seemed forever her eyes frantically scanning her surroundings that seemed to be some sort of ruins. She dashes forward her scrapped knees tremble as they threaten to buckle with every stride not stopping until she crashes into the stone clawing at the side of what seems to be a cliff of sorts, ripping away vines that covered an opening that in her hurry she quickly fell through.

Tears filled her swollen burning eyes as she drags herself across the ground leaving a trail of blood smears behind her, goose bumps covering her as the chill from her new surroundings sinks straight through her flesh to her bones only making them ache more. Her eyes widen as she hears the footsteps coming closer and closer until she hears the heavy breaths echoing around her as the vines are pushed aside.“They must smell my blood.” Is all she can think as she desperately tries to pull herself to her feet, her slender numb fingers wrapping around something she can only describe as cold steel. She quickly pulls unable to see but hearing as the blade falls free scraping against stone. She cries out as she quickly drops to her knees the weight from the blade too much for her small worn body to handle, forcing her down with it as it crashes to the ground , her fear takes over as she begins to back away from the entrance, dragging the blade with her.

Something stirred in the ruins. Something brought a faint glimmer of light into the nothingness that had sat on its shoulders for century after century. At first there was nothing, but then ever so slowly, and so quietly at first it was imperceptible a hum filled the armored statue. Outside the cavern three large, gnarled, inhuman beasts stomped and tromped forwards. Their reek defiling the stillness of the room even as the young maiden crawled away scared with the large bastard sword in her grip. A spark, and static seemed to echo, like a large number of gnats buzzing some great distance away.

The first monster ripped open the caverns entrance and it forced its way through clawing and cursing and shrieking madly as it followed her scent. The caverns entrance was just to small for it to easily enter after her. But soon enough it forced its way in. outside the other two were ripping at stone and vine to widen and increase the opening so they'd fit in as well. A slight tremor rolling up the wall followed by a crack. Part of the roof fell down and shattered into a million pieces as it hit the hard floor. A single beam of moonlight entered the room adding eery light as the monster searched for its prey.

“Its heereee” it hissed to the others still frantically trying to force their ways in ….. “Itssss bleeeeding” he smiled, a wicked fanged toothy grin as its drool rolled form parted lips and collected on its chest below as it stooped down. It looked right and left, over looking the ancient statue, it had no scent. But then, finally huddled against the wall and cowering she was spotted and it moved swiftly towards her, trying to collect a bigger piece of its prize than its pack could stop it form getting.

It reared back on massive clawed hand and it moved to lurch down hard and fast, crushing her under its strength. It went to kill her instantly. But the blow never landed. The strike never came. Instead the beast howled and recoiled in agony and fear and pain. Its skin seemingly started to melt and drip of rapidly charring flesh. Something burned and dissolved it. Bones already showing on its fingers. It howled and yowled again. Then silence as its neck and the soft tissues of its body burst off of it. Fat sizzled and dripped and burned, but nothing ever made it to the ground. The foul ichor smoke and drippings dissolved further. They turned into a wicked light of purple and red and blue. Like flames being fanned towards some source in the middle of the room.

Soon the flames and the light touched the knights statue and burned away years of dust. There was a groan of un-oiled metal hinges in motion. Crinkling of old leather against itself. Something was stirring. By no monster was consumed, flesh missing bones showing. Muscle rapidly burning and boiling off of it. Soon bones were falling scattered to the ground beneath it, blackened, burnt, but the ash was falling off too . Leaving perfectly white remained as the monster thrashed against its impending death. It was already down on one knee, screaming silently and likely cursing what ever spell had killed it.

Outside another hard impact split the room the cracked reached over head and debris fell unceremoniously on the monster in its final death throws. A large bit of shattered roof falling on its head ending all motion, but still its flesh boiled burned and vaporized and headed towards the knights statue. Or was it really a statue? It now looked polished, far better preserved, functional even. And was it ….. breathing? No, it wasn’t breathing, but it certainly was moving. It was lowering its outstretched right arm and. Its legs flexed as it stood up. Some form of red light filtered out form its helmet, and illuminated the room before it as it gazed towards the empty throne before it.

“C... Com.....Commander... A..Aydan On.. Online.” it spoke in a deep, but not loud voice, a static behind its stumble words as it rose, there was no emotion, no inflection. Just crude uncaring words. Its feet scraped the floor as it moved in staggered uncertainty for a moment as the last of the smoke and flame filtered in-between the chinks and plates of its armor, seemingly infusing the statue with greater life. At nearly eight feet in height now it turned and looked towards the opening in the wall that one more beast had fought its way through. Its head cocked to the side for a moment then the Armored statue moved for the sword on its hip. Its cloak, scabbard and now belt falling off in ruined aged messes at its feet as it moved and stirred.

“INTRUDERS! It bellowed with what might have been rage. And it hefted its sword high. There was no hesitation, or fear in its motions as it more than just met, but bull-rushed the Troll that had just entered. The knights blade pierced the beasts chest. But it didn’t stop moving, it buried the blade hilt deep into its body and kept moving. “TROLLS ATTACK THE KINGS CHAMBER!” it bellowed out as if there was more than a meager girl to hear its rallying cries of combat and war.

Slamming the monster into the stone wall it impacted with more force than any blow so far and the room shook, loose rocks and debris fell instantly, a giant crush in the wall evident as the Troll slumped downwards to the ground, its foul green and blue blood splattered on the wall were it had been thrust, dripping over its discarded broken body as the knight also lost his sword carelessly. Sadly the knight instinctively reached for a weapon it was not in possession of, and its confusion cost it as the other troll returned the favor of slamming into the knight and beating it down to the ground in a frenzy. The battered worn, aged leather strapping of the knights shield falling limp as the shield was ripping from its grasp and sent cascading across the room by the frenzied troll.

Across the room the second troll, already mending its wounds as they do, started to move and soon would be able to get up as well. But the first, the one reduced to a pile of broken bones, and lifeless death, never budged, never moved.... it unlike the second was truly defeated and broken.

PostSubject: Re: Waiting for a Life (private)   Wed Sep 26, 2012 11:57 am

Tallya screamed as the creature standing before her raised his large claw the warmth of his thick sticky drool running down her legs as it dripped from his mouth. She curled herself into a ball her body wrapping around the large blade as she trembles to terrified to react as he prepares to take the killing blow. Her hands quickly come to her ears as she hears its blood curding scream her eyes opening wide as her feet slip against the floor trying to back herself against the wall further as clumps of melted flesh drip to the ground in large steaming globs, bleached white bones scraping together as his body withers in pain until he is slowly reduced to nothing except a colorful mist that quickly darted to the center of the room. That when she heard it a soft humming, follow by the groaning sound that seemed to echo though out the room, she screamed again as she watched the remains that had floated off from the monster surrounding a large figure, it slowly rising as it seemed to absorb every last bit until nothing remained but a knight is shining armor? No it couldn’t be fear must have her hallucinating.

Her heart pounded in her chest as she watched unable to move or speak as the knights low deep voice filled her ears, a bright red light seeming to light up the entire room he grabbed the blade from his hip as his movements seemed to come with ease after each passing moment charging forward as another creature entered, the entrance splitting as the ceiling crumbles large chunks of debris falling all around him and crushing the other silencing his howls of pain. The knight charged driving his blade into the center of the creature’s chest not stopping until they both crashed into the wall, the now lifeless body slumping over only held in place by the sword that remained buried inside of him and most likely the wall as well.

The knight reached for his blade as another charged him, the blade she had taken and failed to even lift from the ground once it was free. The creatures claws scraping and tearing at the knight before he balled those claws into very large fists beating at the knights shield until it broke away sliding across the floor out of his reach leaving his body to take the beating instead. He fell to the ground unable to defend himself as the creature towered over him beating him in frenzy.

Tallya whimpered as she forced herself to stand her legs weak and wobbling as she tried to drag the sword across the room. Her body leans back slightly as she uses her weight to lift its tip twisting her hip as she cries out swinging with every last bit of strength she has inside of her in attempts to knock the creature from the man beneath him. She stumbles slightly as the weight from the sword pulls her body with it falling forward as the blade misses and she is quickly gripped up by her corset his claws tearing at the flesh between her breasts as he balls the material in his fist pulling her towards him and above the knight as well. Her legs buckle her body only being held up by his grip on her as he stares her in the eyes his dried cracked lips peeling back to expose his yellow fangs, his foul breath making her stomach turn.

Without warning her body is sent flying across the room her corset torn away from her, remaining in the creatures grasp until it is quickly tossed aside, the sword knocked from her hands landing on the ground beside the knight with a loud crash. Tallya hits the wall hard knocking the air from her as her body slips slowly down it, before she can move or even take a breath the attacker covers her, the weight of his body making it impossible for her to move as he raises his clawed fist. She screams her eyes quickly darting around the room as she panics searching for the sword she had lost. She reaches out taking hold moving it between her and the creature to take the blow, his fist crashes into the shield making her arms buckle as it falls to her chest.

The beast pinned him down not by its weight or strength, but the furious style of its clawing attacks. However little harm was actually done to the construct. Its metal plates and the thick hide of its under armor staved off the attacks rather well. Still it kept his hands up and blocking what it could of the attacks . Shielding its face and torso so that it could muster a better attack. The soul stone that powered it was weak, unfilled and missing a master to temper its powers. But soon, something stirred over heard. Someone came in to attack the beast keeping him down and, carelessly seemed to get grappled itself.

However it was not a guardsmen or another construct. Smooth shapely legs, a thin short skirt. A feminine shriek. A girl stood towering over him. Her attack harmless it seemed as she was disarmed and tossed aside as Aydan watched from under her. The beast slammed down on Aydan one more time then stood and swiftly chased after the girl towards where ever it had tossed her. The construct commander was left with a tattered garment of clothing dropped near him and with out the monster he was fighting.

As fast as he could he rose up, gripping his bastard sword once more as he rose. He felt compelled to assist the girl, to defend her. And without questioning why he moved up behind the Troll and thrust his blade deep into its body from behind as it rose up trying again to attack the prone girl. His blade pierced the monster through its stomach easily and grazed along the shield over the girl. With a swift jerk he pulled the beast aside and tossed it with great injury across the room. “Stay down” the knight commanded the girl as it moved after the tossed Troll.

The constructs left hand shifted and glowed green as it changed forms and shapes. Instead of simple gauntlets and vambraces it now had spikes and a long blade protruding over the back of his fist. And with a glare of red glow it moved fast and descended on the troll. Ripping and hacking and tearing at its flesh. Then as a golden glow over took the red one ,the knight reared back as if to growl and howl, but instead after his chest expanded it leaned down and breathed hot flames like a dragon. Scorching the ground and heating the room instantly. Burning charring and destroying the troll under it as the flames swept over it.

As the knight turned back towards the troll that was now finally no longer pinned to the wall a strange rune was glowing on the knights helm, along the face plate over where its wearers cheek would be. A growl left the knight and steam and smoke filtered out from his helmet, and the coverings over his mouth. Once again the knight was hefting his large bastard word one handed as he moved over towards the troll that seemed to be thinking of running away to continue living. But it never got the chance. The knight tossed his bastard sword like a spear again pinning the monster to the hard stone wall and then after one more deep breath in let out a large searing hot flame of breath.

As he did so the rune on its cheek lit up again and brightly burned like the heat of the flames that warmed every surface in the room as it washed from the knight. The troll was gone, only a glowing nearly melted sword was left pinned into the wall, bending slowly under its own weight. Only a small red ruby in its hilt left unharmed, that readily seemed to fall form the hilt leaving the sword a mess of useless steel in the wall. The knight raised his left hand, that now indeed looked like a hand again and the gem flew throw the air to his palm where it vanished. A second latter the broad sword on the ground rattled and then darted towards the waited right hand of the knight.

Soon enough the towering knight moved and picked up her lost corset with his sword tip and moved over towards the girl likely still huddled next to the wall under his ruined shield. He said nothing as he offered her the article of clothing from his sword point. Instead he was looking her over, or at least it looked like he was looking her over. With the soft greenish glow now coming form his helmet slits it was hard to tell what he was, or wasn’t looking at.

“When is it heiress”

Tallya closed her eyes as the weight on her chest made it ache taking in a deep breath as she felt him lift his body from her, was he going to strike again? Her body jumped as she heard a howl, felt the warm wetness of the blood as it poured out of him soaking the half of her body not covered by the shield. The tearing of flesh and gurgling of struggled breaths filled her ears forcing her eyes to pop open letting the shield fall away from her body. She scrambled back against the wall her eyes widening as she watched the knight lift the large male from her tossing him aside like he was nothing demanding she stay still.

Her eyes never left him as he changed a blade seeming to just grow from his arm glowing, lighting the room with a dim read light as he charged slashing, tearing at the creatures flesh until it was like ribbons slipping from his body as its red dye ran soaking the ground beneath them. He leaves the body broken slumping over against the wall her brows bunching together as she watches his body arch as if he was about to howl himself but didn’t, his chest expands as fire rips through the air quickly taking the chill from their surrounding not finishing until the creature is reduced to nothing but a pile of ash at his feet before he addresses the other.

Tallya heart raced as she continued to watch the knight tear down the attackers, her eyes filling with tears as she lowered her head hiding her face as she cried knowing once they were dead she would be next. The room goes silent all but heavy footsteps that seem to grow closer with each passing moment until they come to a stop before her. ”P…please...” she begins to bed as she looks up to him with her swollen eyes. “Don...” her words are cut short as he speaks his voice low as he offers her the torn material that was once her vest. She reaches out to take it tears still flooding down her cheeks as her chest burns the shredded flesh bunching together as she moves.

He spoke his words emotionless not seeming threatening at all as his head seemed to lower .W...was he looking at her body? Tallya’s cheeks burned her arms quickly crossing over her chest as she tries to hide herself from him, whimpering as her arm brushes against her wound. ”I…I don’t know.” She said in response to his question her words broken as her breaths remain quick the pain consuming her letting her head fall back to rest against the wall. She was close to death, her body weak and battered.

Of all times to take to embarrassment the battle field was not ever one of them. But here she was blushing and covering her chest as a Golem stood on looking. Aydan might have sighed if it was a less human emotion. Instead he just simply waited, continuing to look at her until she answered his questions. Eventually from her trembling lips words fell and he was forced to accept them. Though even for the blood he detected flowing inside of her it was possible she was some form of undereducated peasant. It was true she was not dressed nearly like any noble he'd ever seen. To skimpy and not enough armor.

With out taking breath or making sound he rose back to his feet and then turned to move away from her towards the doorway. In the room to look out at the vines and the ruined state of the castle form what he could see. He would do his own calculations. Or st least that was the theory but he was not prepared to see such devastation. The parapets were gone the hustle and bustle. The roads to citizens, even the buildings had almost all fallen to ruin and the ground. It would seem it had been a long long time indeed since he last stirred. And after a few minutes he turned around to face the girl again.

“I require a master” he spoke and moved towards her where ever that now was. Be it on the floor still huddled up, or right behind him now dressed. It made no difference for he had verbally ignored her until he was ready to speak again. “Without one I cannot recharge and shall return to hibernation.” his tone matter of factly and held no emotion what so ever.”You shall have to be it” he spoke not insultingly, but it was likely taken that way.

Form his empty left hand he offered her a golden looking gen, about half the size of her fist that was likely worth more than she would be able to calculate. But it wasn’t something he wanted her to sell. And if she didn’t reach up to take it he would all but force it into her hand. Which of course the second she touched it she would regret greatly. Instantly a burning pain would start in her palm, but no matter what she tried the gem couldn’t be dropped or tossed. Waves of what felt like fire would run up her arm and into her chest. It would feel like her heart was going to explode, or her head would split open, and then nothing. The pain would fade completely and even most of her other aches would leave as well, though she'd feel weakened even further.... but at least she would no longer be bleeding.

Tallya watched him in silence as he turned making his way to the doorway or what had remained of it. She pulled herself to her feet as fast as her broken body would allow wrapping the shredded scraps of what had once been her mother’s top around her, it didn’t cover much anymore but it was all she had. The moment she had finished he turned to face her, her legs wobbled forcing her to place her hand on the wall for balance it still seemed heated from the fire he had created moments ago that had turned that creature to ash.

Her eyes widened as he spoke, her head shaking lightly as she attempted to back away but found herself not going anywhere. She couldn’t be his master; she isn’t even capable of taking care of herself. “I….I can’t, no...” As quickly as her words left her mouth he was in front of her, his arm extended and in the center of his open palm was a gem. It was beautiful, its golden color seeming to reflect, shimmering in the light that didn’t exist bright enough in the room to cause such an affect.

She reached for it her fingertips slowly skimming its surface before they wrapped around it unable to close completely. Tallya began to raise it so that her already widened eyes with wonder could examine it closely. Her palm quickly opened as the gem began to glow, she shook her hand trying to drop it to the ground at her feet as her palm began to burn until it became so heated it felt as though her flesh around it should be melting away as did the other he had killed but, it didn’t. She couldn’t release it.

Her screams echoed throughout the small room as well as possibly the ruins around them as she fell back to her knees at his feet. She couldn’t move any longer, could barely breath as waves of heat, fire licked at her flesh ripping through her insides before filling her chest, her heart raced, her eyes shutting tight as they filled with tears the pain freezing her in place. This was her end, he was killing her differently than the others from the inside out as he watched his expression or what she thought may be one not changing as he flaunted his abilities before taking her life completely.

Quicker than it had begun it stopped leaving her a breathless, motionless heap of flesh on the floor at his feet. The pain had stopped, even the pain caused by the others before him but, she still couldn’t bring herself to rise again. She slowly moved her arms along the ground struggling to push herself up, her elbows buckling beneath returning her to the ground with a thud where she would remain.

There was an odd static now in her mind likely, ignorable but present. It was Aydan, and his current lack of thoughts. He was learning about her at a tremendous rate however. Learning why she stole her parents clothing and armor and weapons, why she was here, and what drove her to be chased by the trolls that he had killed. He was learning what she knew of the regions history and the lack of knowledge she had on the civilization he came form. It told him the cold truth. A very very long time indeed had gone by since he last stirred and moved. He learned of more recent events, the new empire, the current rulers according to her and where they might be.

After she crumpled to the floor he moved again. He squatted down and then very tenderly with is cool steel hands wrapped them under and around her. He would lift her up into his chest, and then heft himself with her upwards.” Come Tallya” he spoke softly, in her mind and aloud. “We need to travel somewhere safer.” he didn’t explain where that might be, or the cost of getting there. But even without him saying anything she had a rough idea of what he was thinking just based on there new shared bond.

Holding her mostly with only one hand, and holding his sword with the other he would gather up the scraps of his cloak, and her top if ti was dropped with the other before carefully moving out of the cavern. She would learn rapidly why she was so tired, all she need do was think about it and his mind would answer how she had been drained of par of her life’s essence to feed his. And how in the future it would be less costly as long as they followed the right ritual in how to replenish and refuel him. But for now that had been the only means of starting to form their bond.

To make her more comfortable in his embrace his armor heated up some and was softly warm to fight off the chill to her exposed body as the moved through what was left of the courtyard he once knew and towards the cliffs edge. A few dozen yards later they'd be looking over the edge of the cliff and his armor would start to glow lightly as wings formed and sprouted painlessly form his back. “We are going to rest down there” he didn’t point but she would know instantly of the small island he saw and was going to make for, and about how oddly he could fly now. As long as she didn’t fight the idea, or give him another one he would lift off into the air and move them swiftly downwards the mile or so until they landed softly on the cool, but dry grass of the very small island below.

Carefully he would sit down and keep her huddled against him unless he wanted to be free. Gently wrapping his also warm wings like blankets about them both to fight off the cool sea side winds down here where the waves crashed against the rocky cliffs around them. No doubt in the cool dark of night, while being held in a warm embrace she might choose to sleep due to her weakened body, if that was so he'd simply hold her all night until she woke with dawns light. And by then she'd feel mostly refreshed and likely have her energy back.

Tallya didn’t move as the knight spoke, she doubted she could even if she tried. She just remained there on the floor at his feet looking up at him out of the corner of her eye. He spoke his words seeming to echo through her mind although out loud they only seemed like a whisper as her head became too heavy for her thin neck to even hold up any longer. He squatted down gently slipping his hand beneath her, scooping her up before bringing her close against the cold steel of his chest. He spoke her name as he cradled her in one arm gathering the scraps of his cloak that had remained, he wanted her safe she could feel it thoughts seeming to flood her mind that weren’t her own as he made his way through the room pushing the rubble aside that blocked the doorway the creatures had destroyed.

Every question she had for him floating in her mind but couldn’t bring herself to ask was quickly answered. He didn’t want to hurt her, her needed to. The pain she had felt was something she wouldn’t have to feel again it was the only way to bond them together. Tallya’s brows bunched together as her eyes shut she could feel his armor heating, the warmth surrounding her like a blanket as she rested her head against his chest. Her eyes popped open squinting as she struggled to fight sleep, she could hear the sound of the crumbled ruins breaking beneath his every footsteps as she seemed to fade in and out.

Her body jumped slightly as he came to a stop, her eyes widening as she was quickly aware of what he was about to do. She sat up as much as his hold on her would allow whimpering as she looked over the edge of the cliff he looked out upon. His armor glowed she could feel it seem to hum against her flesh bringing her attention quickly back to him wings sprouting from his back before they spread, stretching them self out and back, his body quickly lifting in the air before descending downwards towards the small island he wished to go to. She didn’t fight him she was terrified she would fall if she did her claws scraping lightly against his armor covered shoulder as she struggled to get a better grip.

Tallya curled up against him as much as she could as she felt his body jolt taking the impact as he landed her face buried against his chest as she felt him lower himself to the ground. She could feel the cold breeze from the ocean licking at her bare flesh that wasn’t pressed against his body making her shiver, the cool blades as glass licking at her thighs as he fit her body between his, his arm still wrapped tightly around her in a protective manner before his wings joined them to shield them both.

She didn’t fight him, she knew even if she had tried she had no chance and why would she want to. She understood him now or at least she thought she did he needed her just as much as she needed him right now to keep her warm and safe. Tallya hadn’t felt this much comfort in so long, not since she was a child. She smiled as she began to drift off once more all of her fears fading away as she curled up against him once more his grip loosened slightly to allow her to get comfortable, she yawned as she pictured her mother the bed time stories of knight’s and princesses filling her mind as she slowly drifted off to sleep.

Her dreams were puzzling to the construct. He himself neither slept nor dreamt. Nor had his previous master allowed him to see him dream. Aydan did not act on her dreams he only sought to understand them. Which of course was something people had been doing as long as people had been dreaming. She dreamed of action and adventure and rescue and activities he understood less than dreams. Several times he was caught by what he thought was her desire. Touching or petting. But he didn’t understand why she wanted it, or what exactly it was for so each time stopped, only later to find himself starting again.

She never seemed to mind, in fact she seemed to enjoy it and encourage it most times. But her mind was hard to track while she slept. Se flitted from impossibility, to improbability, to strange, and mundane. It was a uniquely bizarre event that would leave the construct more confused now than before in the cave when he awoken to fight the trolls. He wondered briefly what it was that had awoken him? She was not his master before he had awoken, and there was no other that should be able to awaken a sleeping Golem than their commanding master. Was she somehow related to the old people of his kingdom? Some long removed ancestor?

He did not know, but she was indeed his master now. And soon her adventurous dream would likely become real as they traveled together where ever it was she was headed. She wold eventually learn to control even his powers through his subservience to her. But what she would do with this new found power was for now a mystery. Would she be good and just and noble? Or evil and wicked and a tyrant? Would he resist either extreme? Could he?

Dawn would come early on this ocean surrounded island, though warmth would take a bit longer. She would awake eventually in his lap as she had fallen asleep her shirt still removed, and tattered in his grip, along with the remnants of his cloak. Form this angle the parapets and ruins of the castle nearly invisible due to the giant growth of vegetation and from how much had fallen already into the waters around them over the long centuries it had at empty. But no matter how much like adream she might think it, the great iron Golem still held her tightly and warmly in his arms as she woke, and gently and softly warmed her with his powers

Tallya stretched out, her legs lightly shaking against him as she yawned. She could feel the cool breeze as it washed over her thighs, between her legs. The moisture causing her to shiver as they remained slightly parted, her short skirt bunched up around her hips. Her eyes shot open, widening as she looked down at his warm plate covered fingers that remained wrapped around her thigh. Her heart began to race her face heating as she looked up to the knight that had held her the entire time she had slept.

The small pink peaks of her mounds began to harden causing her to whimper from embarrassment. Tallya clawed at the torn fabric in his grasp taking all that had remained of her mother’s shirt and possibly some of his cloak, struggling to cover herself as she sunk down in his lap. She swallows hard before speaking, clearing her throat as she wipes the sleep from her eyes.”H...how long was I sleeping?” She begins to sit up a little, her body freezing as she feels his hand slip along her thigh, she looks down at it once more then back up to him her body heating slightly. She enjoyed his touch; she had never felt another’s hand on her before even if it was innocently resting like it is now or not.

Tallya places her hand over his, she remembered all the tales of knights in shining armor saving princesses, the happily ever after, their first kiss. She giggles at the thought as she leans up lightly pressing her lips to his helmet as she shuts her eyes, her small slender fingers tightening around his as she leans back, her cheeks red and her brows bunching together as she awaits his reaction to what she had done.

Aydan knew she was awake even before she did, but that did not mean he started moving, or stopped holding her wrapped in his wings He felt the shock of the cold in her waking mind, but again more of this that he did to understand as she thought of the cool breeze o her flesh... it seemed like fond thoughts until she became sensitive to the fact she was in his lap. He knew her cheeks flushed, and she felt heated between her thighs, but he did not understand what it meant or what caused it. He mind was a jumble of thoughts and emotions, and only one of those had he any under standing of. “You slept nearly all night Mistress, it is not long after dawn. Many good hours remain before the sun even gets high in the sky.”

Her hand was placed over his and strange images roamed in her mind, they seemed memories of stories. Was she comparing this to a story? Or was she comparing him to a knight? Either one was fine, not accurate but close to the reality of the situation. He felt her grip tighten though it was inefficient at doing anything to his gauntlet hand. He was uncertain of why her lips pressed to his helmet, he was no noble. He did not get kissed, and even then was it not customary to kiss a hand?

He was forced to search her thoughts and react according to what she anticipated so he did not offend whatever this custom was. His hand gripped her thigh a bit tighter, but by no means her her, and he gently stroked up and down it a few inches one way and then the next as he leaned to her kiss, and action he truly could not return. “We should search the lower halls to see if there is anything suitable for covering you in, or the out laying armories if they stand.” he was speaking of course practically at the fact she did not like being topless. “Maybe start in what is left of the north parapet, the mages garrison there might have something that withstood time inside”

Her eyes remained closed as her lips pressed against him; her brows bunching together as his hand gently caressed her thigh. This was not what she expected, she didn’t receive the feeling from him the feeling that would heat one’s body until their flesh felt as though it would melt away, and her heart didn’t race her stomach turn with excitement. It was empty in so many ways. She leaned back as she stared up at him, she knew he didn’t understand and knew he was just trying to please her in any way he could but he could never return her feelings or desire her it was something she didn’t even completely understand yet.

She leaned back from his her gaze drifting away as he spoke their surroundings still weren’t lit by the morning sun. She nodded balling the scraps of her shirt that had remained in her fist covering her chest as best she could with it. She was embarrassed; her face began to burn as she tried to move herself from his grasp possibly rolling herself onto the grass. He had seen everything, she knew it everything thought that raced through her mind from the moment he had offered her that stone linking them together….she paused her eyes scanning him once more as her mind began to race. ”Mine?” she tilted her head as she looked up at him the words weren’t spoken.” Was he now hers?” she blinked. ”What would she do with him…..

Tallya stood pulling what remained of the material and stretching it around her to tie it off in the back so it wouldn’t have to be held in place leaning down to brush herself off, she didn’t know what to say couldn’t possibly imagine herself making choices for someone; she couldn’t even take care of herself. She took in a slow staggered breath as she looked down at him, rubbing the back of her head attempting to calm herself; this was all so much to take in no one had ever spoken to her with such respect or regarded as anything more than a simple peasant girl. ”That would be excellent.” Her voice was low and unsure.

Indeed sparks didn’t fly, passion was not over powering. And he did not ravish her on the spot, half dressed or not. He did not understand these things, and more importantly she did not feel them herself. He only knew as much as she did about emotion and understanding them and she was not exactly a wise old woman. He understood she was embarrassed, and that was starting to seem normal for her. But he did not under stand how a construct could create that feeling inside her. He was her property, he would do anything, at her smallest whim, whither he understood it or not. But right now there was no whim. No orders or actions for which he needed to be ready for.

After she rose he stood too, his wings not yet fading as they needed to fly back up to get away form here. But oddly as she thought he turned to look her over and replied to some of her mental idea's after a few moments “yes yours mistress. You are my master and I am yours to command to whatever aim or goal you seek. The Stone grants you power over me, and in time power over my powers. Once you understand them better.”

He looked towards the cliff face and then back to her. “why do you cover yourself if I may ask?” he seemed to be cocking his head to the side “there are no living beings of sentience nearby, yet you act as if it is important to not be displayed.... I would like to understand that better. Do I displease you? Are you hiding form me?” he asked it in a soft solemn tone, but his words none the less brought up further how she was so exposed before in his arms and did not care then, but she cared now that she was removed from him. To him this made no sense at all.
